Priorities
Recently I have started working with a couple Mexican Mennonittes, Peter & Ab. I tell you what it is a blast, It's the first time in my life that I have ever worked in a all Christain enviroment, it's real relaxin' and its almost like God is blessing our work, altough we don't really seem to be busting our butts we get lots of production in a day.
And it's just amazing what we are teaching each other, beside all the tricks of the trade, we are also sharing alot of spirtal things. For myself it's been kind of a spirtal awakening two Thursday ago (may 25 ) neither of the mexican's worked- it was the day of acention, they all worked Victoria day ( canadain stat holiday ) so they could take thursday off. Well it has got me thinking, what are the rest of us doing? We take a day of rest each year for a queen of another country, but except for Christmas, Easter and good friday we don't take any other time off for the lord it's either labour day, canada day, etc..... nothing else to do with the lord. Except for sunday's
Although on the outside looking in at the Mexican Mennonittes you would almost think that they are a lil behind the times , or a backward culture, but after haveing the opertunitey to really get to understand there belief's and culture, I would almost go to say that they have their priorites a little strauighter then the majority of us main stream Canadain's.....The lord, their family, and their job's.
Monday is the day of the Penticost ( when the holy spirt came down to us , see John chap. 14 & chap. 16 about what the holy spirt is and Acts chapter 2 about Penicost) and I'm thinking of taking it off and seeing if there is some kind of service we can attend. I think it's about time we get our priorities straight in the Canadain houshold.
